"Mental", a word which is used for the people who are not able to keep themselves in a reasonable state. The word is rather more meaningful than only to its dictionary meaning. These people are more strong, I would say than an average normal person. Because I think it is not possible to live with this mental state when you have to fight yourself everyday.
Recently I was visiting a health care center to see someone. There was many mentally disabled people also with the physically challenged peoples. The environment there, I am being truthful I didn't like at all. It was like some kind of negativity all around. However I had some business there so I had to wait until the Doctor was free for my appointment.
During the waiting period of about 25 minutes or so, I was only observing the peoples and the patients with their parents or relatives. Seeing them Made me feel that these people are really brave to live in this state. They are actually fighting their own brain the brain which controls the human being. The brain, the human brain which is thought to be the controller of this world. But when you see these people you can feel that they are actually out of the brain's control. They are free, to see the world in their own form and feeling.
We call these people mental or crazy but in fact they are fighters fighting their fate and even more their family and guardians are to be praised even more as they are moving hands in hand with these poor people. While waiting there I saw about 3-4 persons who were mentally challenged one was a kid of about age 13-15 one was an old guy in his age probably mid 50s and a girl in may be mid 20s. All were just watching everyone with a strange vision, like it was all so amazing for them. seeing them was like, you could not believe it, it is really real. People really suffer from the loss of mental stability.
However it is understandable that these guys are challenged by the fate but what would you say about our drunk peoples who purposefully loose their mental state. To escape the reality for few moments or may be few hours. But what does it gives, trouble to the family and friends, and may be if you are single than to yourself only.
I can understand the addiction but everything suits in a limit. So whenever one drink and loose his/her mental state that person is not only making himself but other suffer also. You can understand this if only you can closely observe the person with mental disablement and their family members. I asked the doctor about this and what she told me was somewhat enlightening on the matter. She told me that there are only few cases in which person looses his/her mental state in young age, this usually happen with either childhood or after late 20s where there are mental stress on the person.
What I don't understand is why can't we just leave tension for once and stop competing and start living. I know its sounds good but is not easy to do, but at least we can try. Giving time to family and friends is a good option. Beside that doctor told me that doing some light mind games and reading is also good for mental health. But it all depends on how much you care for yourself. So I would suggest you is that stop crying, start smiling. Start sharing happiness with your friends and family, because sharing is caring.
