sard raat ka chand...

kya ghata chaayi hai,
chand kuch sarmaya sa hai,
parda kar rakha hai chand ne,
ye jo dhund ka ek saya sa hai.

kahi door ek choti si roshni,
kisi ped se chan k aati si nazar aa rhi hai,
nazare kuch aise ban rahe hai,
jaise kudrat ka dil muskuraya sa hai.
kuch der yuhi khada raha main,
thand ki is khamoshi me,
fir hawa ne kaan me kaha,
kiski talash me tu aya hua hai,
mat dekh is chand ko aise,
isne to na jaane kitno ka dil lubhaya hua hai.

kabhi socha mud chalu ghar ki or,
par fir fir takta rha aasmaa ko main,
dil me ek hairani bani hui thi,
jo kabhi mujhse nazre mila ke chalta tha,
aj wohi chand mujhse kuch chupa rha hai,
na jaane aj kis chakor se is sard dhund ke saye me nazre mila rha hai...

World outside the window

Sitting near the window of my hotel room, I could see the full moon shining bright in the cold mountain night. Must be around 10 or 11 degrees. I could feel the light breeze on my face. Just looking outside the window, it was beautiful, even in the night.  A silent full moon night high up in mountains could be so beautiful and soothing. I felt like my mind was empty of all thoughts. Like naturally meditating with eyes wide open and looking out into silhouette of huge mountains, like staring into wast spread of nothingness.  I could see tiny lights twinkling on small buildings spread across the small town near Shimla, India. Sometimes when i came to senses, a sudden flood of thoughts streaming through the brain. How much we(humans) have progressed. How much nature had paid for our actions. Constantly digging the heart of mountain to make clearings for agriculture and buildings. Yet, nature is forgiving and let us be in peace.  Peace, which is perhaps pet word of my ...

sleepless nights

Na jane kyu aankho ko meri, neend se aitraz hai, jan kr b jan na pay hu, aisa bhi ek raaz hai. Ek kadam hi age bdha tha, dil k tukde samet k, kadam ladkhda gye kyu mere, guzre waqt ko soch k. Aansu to rok leta hu, drd ko kaise roku main, gr pyar kar hi baitha ye dil, use tanhai ki aag main kase jhoku main. Tere bina reh sakta hu, rukti nhi tere bina zindgani, ha lekin teri yaado ki aanch me har pal, u hi tapti rahei meri zindgani.
